The men behind Saturday night London Bridge attack

The men behind Saturday night London Bridge terror attack.

According to British authorities two of the three men behind the London Bridge attack which took place on Saturday night have been identified, the authorities are also investigating if others are involved.

One of them is Khuram Shazad Butt, aged 27 a British citizen born in Pakistan, the UK’s security and counterintelligence agency were familiar with him, but there was no intelligence to suggest the weekend attack was being planned.

The second man is Rachid Redouane, aged 30, he also calls himself Rachid Elkhdar. He had claimed to be Moroccan and Libyan, Met Police said. Like Khuram Shazad Butt, Redouane lived in the east London area of Barking. Unlike Butt, Redouane was not previously known to authorities.

At least seven people were killed and another 48 people were wounded in the attack. Within eight minutes of the first emergency phone call, officers shot dead all three suspects in Borough Market, a popular restaurant and bar district nearby.
