Most Nigerians have complained about the Headies award

A lot of Nigerians have complained about the Headies award and expressed their disappointment at the show.

The 2016 edition of one of Nigeria’s biggest and most prestigious music awards, ‘The Headies’ was held at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on December 22. Unfortunately, many Nigerians have complained about the award and expressed their disappointment at the show. They said that the award ceremony was dry and so boring.

Another said that the picture and sound production was of low quality and not what they expected. Some even complained about not seeing some important and popular Nigerian celebrities get awarded. Others felt very bad that the award for ‘rookie of the year’ was not presented at the event.

Nwakaego uchechi says on lailasblog: “Like seriously the show was so boring that I had to switch off and sleep cos I know laila will stay glued to her TV no matter what cos she has to bring the news to us.”

Winners of the Headies emerged from the different categories and below is a list of winners for each category. Kiss Daniel was the biggest winner at the Headies awards 2016, with three wins: Best R&B/Pop album, Hip Hop World Revelation and Album of the Year for New Era.
