L’Oréal fires it’s first transgender model ‘Munroe Bergdorf’ who said all white people are racist.

L’Oréal S.A. a French cosmetics company headquartered in Clichy, Hauts-de-Seine with a registered office in Paris has fired its first transgender model from appearing on a British advertising campaign; after she wrote on her Facebook post that all white people racist.

On the 27th of August London-based transgender model ‘Munroe Bergdorf’ announced on her Facebook page that she was to be part of the French cosmetics brand’s new advertising campaign celebrating diversity.

After the announcement Bergdorf wrote a Facebook rant that called ‘white people racist’, the online message later appeared on Friday to have been deleted: “Honestly I don’t have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people.” Bergdorf said.

“Because most of ya’ll don’t even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour. Your entire existence is drenched in racism. From micro-aggressions to terrorism, you guys built the blueprint for this s***.

“Come see me when you realise that racism isn’t learned, it’s inherited and consciously or unconsciously passed down through privilege.

“Once white people begin to admit that their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth… then we can talk.”

Her dream has quickly come to an end as L’Oréal was triggered by her comment and has announced it is ending its partnership with the activist/model. L‘Oreal’s UK unit said on its Twitter page it had decided to terminate her contract: “L‘Oreal champions diversity. Comments by Munroe Bergdorf are at odds with our values and so we have decided to end our partnership with her.”

In a post on her page on Friday, Bergdorf criticized the Daily Mail article and sought to defend her comments, which she said were a reaction to the violence of white supremacists in Charlottesville in the United States.

“When I stated that ‘all white people are racist,’ I was addressing that fact that western society as a whole, is a SYSTEM rooted in white supremacy — designed to benefit, prioritize and protect white people before anyone of any other race,” she said.
