Kim and Kanye agreed to hand over $45,000 (GBP345,000) when the child is born in addition to the $69,000 (GBP53,000) deposit they’ve handed over to agency bosses who set up the surrogacy.

Kardashian chose not to carry her third child after she suffered placenta accreta – a potentially life-threatening condition where the placenta remains attached inside the uterus after birth, while she was expecting daughter North and son Saint. She was warned by doctors following her last birth that another pregnancy could be life-threatening.

The 36-year-old mum-of-two has been vocal about expanding her family, but health issues mean carrying and birthing a child are risky, so the reality TV star has turned to a surrogate, according to multiple reports.

The celebrity couple are reportedly set to become parents again early next year in 2018, as a result of help from a surrogate mother. The San Diego, California surrogate mother in her late 20s is said to be three months pregnant with the couple’s third child, who is due in January 2018.
